1. Information we handle
VocabCount requires Google Sign-In so your learning progress can be associated with your account. When you sign in, we may receive your email address, display name, profile image, and a provider identifier from Google.
We also process learning activity such as saved words, session progress, selected language, onboarding preferences, and usage counts. Basic app settings may be stored locally on your device.
2. How we use information
We use this information to operate the app, sync progress across sessions, personalise vocabulary practice, enforce usage limits, provide support, protect the service, and improve reliability.
3. Storage and service providers
Account and synced learning data are processed using Supabase, our database and authentication service provider. Google may process information when you choose Google Sign-In. Data transmitted between the app and these services is encrypted in transit.
4. Sharing and advertising
VocabCount does not sell personal information and does not show third-party advertising. We disclose data only to service providers needed to operate the app, when you ask us to, or when required by law.
5. Retention and deletion
Signed-in data is retained while your account is active and only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above. You can request account and associated-data deletion from inside the app or through our account deletion page. Some limited records may be retained when legally required or necessary to prevent abuse.
6. Children
VocabCount is not directed to children under 13. If local law requires parental consent for a young person to use an online service, that consent must be obtained before use.
7. Security and your choices
We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security. You may review Google account permissions or request deletion at any time.
8. Contact and changes
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@vocabcount.com. We may update this policy as the app changes; the effective date above will identify the latest version.
